Celebrating the Gifts of People with Disabilities

Bishop Joseph P. McFadden of the Diocese of Harrisburg will be the principal celebrant and homilist for this special Mass that will celebrate the gifts of people with disabilities. It will be held on Saturday, April 14 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Peter Church, 904 Mill Road, Elizabethtown.

All lay participants in the service have some form of disability. Those taking part as Altar Servers from St. Joseph Parish, Lancaster, Angie Lopez; George Celotto and Steve Flores. From Assumption of the BVM, Lancaster; Nathan Bitts, Joseph and Kristen Gerzewski from Saint Rose of Lima, York and Michael Koury from Holy Name of Jesus, Harrisburg.

Greeters will be Raymond Celott and Matthew McClure from Saint Joseph, Lancaster. Katya Hefner from Saint Peter, Elizabethtown, June Oliver form Saint Leo the Great, Lancaster and John Price Jr. from Saint Peter, Elizabethtown Gift Bearers will be Matthew North from Saint Joseph, Lancaster, Michael Hays from Sacred Heart of Jesus, Lancaster, Fred Miklos and Ben Yoder from Saint Peter, Elizabethtown, Denise Gammache and Marcella Kopp from Saint John Neumann,Lancaster.

St. Peter Church is accessible to persons with physical disabilities. A sign language interpreter and materials in Braille and large print will be provided. A light reception will follow. Everyone is welcome to attend especially persons with disabilities, their friends and family members.
