H1N1 Liturgical Directives
The attached directives are to be implemented on Sunday, October 18, 2009, until further notice, in the Diocese of Harrisburg. These directives are being followed by several dioceses in Pennsylvania and have been approved by Bishop Rhoades. The upcoming flu season, and additional health risk posed by outbreaks of H1N1 (swine) influenza, require timely directives for the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy and flu prevention. These directives provide for the protected health of the faithful when they assemble for Mass and other liturgical celebrations.
