The Diocesan Annual Financial Report

Important Financial Disclosures

Consistent with its policy of providing financial disclosure, the Diocese of Harrisburg is once again presenting the financial statements of its Central Offices and Ministries.

The financial statements presented here for the fiscal years ended June 30, 2025 and 2024 were prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and were audited by the independent certified public accounting firm McKonly and Asbury, LLP. These financial reports do not include the financial status of diocesan parishes and schools or Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Harrisburg, PA. Inc. Each of these entities maintains its own set of fiscal records and reports individually to its own particular constituencies.

  • Most Rev. Timothy C. Senior – Bishop of Harrisburg
  • Rev. Msgr. Edward J. Quinlan, III  – Vicar General, Diocese of Harrisburg.
  • Mr. Mark B. Glessner – Retired Certified Public Accountant Partner from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Penn National Insurance and a member of the Audit and Enterprise Risk Committees and previously was vice chairman of the Board of Directors of UPMC Pinnacle and chairman of the Finance Committee. Current Appointment Date: October 19, 2021.
  • Mr. Donald M. Healey, Sr. – Led The Healey Group for over 40 years, specializing in retirement planning, wealth management, and estate strategies. As President and CEO, he is known for his integrity and personalized client service. He holds key credentials including CFP® and AIF®, and actively contributes to community organizations such as the Bridgeport Board and previously served as a board member of the YMCA of Harrisburg and The Nativity School of Harrisburg. His career reflects a strong commitment to financial security and community growth. Current Appointment Date: October 1, 2025.
  • Mrs. Gayla Molinelli – Retired CFO of Hershey Trust Company, CPA, serves on the board of Catholic Charities, Dauphin County Children & Youth Advisory Board, and the Finance Council of Holy Name of Jesus Parish. She also serves as an Extraordinary Minister. Current Appointment Date: February 27, 2025.
  • Mr. Francis “Frank” X. Ryan – Certified Public Accountant who retired from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2022, after serving three terms. Prior to election to public office, Frank’s practice included serving as an expert in corporate restructuring and management. He is a retired Marine Reserve Colonel, who was recalled to active duty in 2004. He served with the Multi-National Force-Iraq until 2005. Before his initial retirement from the armed services in 2002, Frank served as the Central Command Special Operations Officer during Operation Enduring Freedom. Current Appointment Date: May 16, 2023.
  • Rev. Timothy J. Sahd – Pastor, Seven Sorrows BVM Parish.  Current Appointment Date: February 18, 2025.
  • Mr. Kenneth R. Shutts – Retired President and CEO Penn National Insurance, a member of the Board of Directors of Penn National Insurance, a member of the Disciplinary Board for the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, past-Chairman of the Pennsylvania Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, as well as a member of the Executive Advisory Committee of the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America. Current Appointment Date: May 23, 2021.
  • Mrs. Nelly Velez – With over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, Nelly Velez has dedicated her career to empowering families with financial education and strategies for long-term success. She began her journey with Primerica Financial Services and, in 2018, took a major step by opening an independent office in Lancaster, PA. Currently licensed in 36 states, she leads a growing team of over 80 licensed representatives, providing mentorship and guidance to help others build successful careers in financial services. In addition to her business leadership, Nelly has proudly served on the Hispanic Leadership Council for Primerica since 2019, where she advocates for representation and impact within the Hispanic community. Before transitioning full-time into financial services, she spent 10 years as a permanent adoption worker with PA Child, supporting children in the foster care system in achieving stable, loving homes. Nelly believes that serving others-whether through financial empowerment or community support-is more than a career; it’s her calling. Current Appointment Date: March 28, 2025.
