HARRISBURG, Pa. – Bishop Ronald Gainer and the Diocese of Harrisburg recently announced additional changes to clergy assignments. These changes will take effect as of August 1, 2019. Every year, Bishop Gainer, working with the Priest Personnel Board, makes assignment decision for the Diocese’s clergy in an effort to meet the needs of our parishes and fulfill the mission of the Church. Priests are selected for assignments based on a variety of factors, including local needs, their skills and experience, availability, and health. Priests within the Diocese of Harrisburg can be reassigned for a number of reasons, including a request from the clergy member, an opening due to a retirement or death, or a clergy member has the skills and talents that are considered a good match for a specific ministry need.
The following clergy changes will be effective as of August 1, 2019:
- At the presentation of the Very Reverend Dominic Eshikena, OP, Vicar Provincial for North America and the Caribbean: The Reverend Olusola H. Adewole OP, has been appointed Campus Minister for Bloomsburg University, Bloomsburg and Administrator of Christ the King Mission, Benton.
