Mr. Breen received a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University, a master’s degree from the University of Virginia, and an Education Specialist degree with a focus in Educational Administration and Supervision from Eastern Kentucky University. A veteran teacher and school administrator, he was the Principal of Sacred Heart Cathedral School in Knoxville, Tn., the largest and most diverse Catholic school in that diocese, before joining the Diocese of Harrisburg in July of 2019.

Mr. Daniel Breen

Mrs. Margaret Barrett
Margaret Barrett is the Associate Superintendent of Catholic Schools. She has seved our Diocese in this capacity for 13 years. Previously, she served as principal of St Theresa’s School in New Cumberland and as a teacher at St Margaret Mary School in Harrisburg. Mrs. Barrett takes the lead for our elementary schools and for federal programs.
Mr. Ryan Bolster
Director, Office for Adult Education and Catechist Formation
Ryan oversees Diocesan adult faith formation initiatives and assists parishes in the implementation of adult education programs. He also coordinates the ongoing formation of those who are directly responsible for teaching the Catholic Faith in both parishes and schools. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Master’s degree in Theology from the Catholic University of America. Ryan has worked for the Diocese of Harrisburg since 2005 and has previous experience in parish faith formation for adults and children. He and his family are members of Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Harrisburg.
Ms. Erin C. Dolce
Student Information Systems Administrator
Erin Dolce graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania with a Business Management degree with emphasis in French, Russian and International Business. She later graduated from the University of Maryland University College with a Paralegal Studies degree. She has done post-bacc studies in Science, Middle-Level Education and Educational Technology / Technology Integration. She has been with the Diocese of Harrisburg since 2016. Prior she worked at Annunciation BVM School in Technology Education, as the Technology Coordinator and as the SIS Admin where she started in 2012.
Ms. Ann Everest
With nearly 17 years working as the Administrative Assistant for several Superintendents and the Secretary for Education, Ann has acquired a variety of knowledge regarding Catholic Education in the Harrisburg Diocese. She enjoys the ‘troubleshooting’ portion of her job answering the main phone line trying to help the caller with inquiries, problems and sometimes just a listening ear. Ann attended several colleges, and is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and the Army National Guard, having served as a photojournalist and Drug Education Specialist.
Ms. Dawn Eppinger
Dawn has worked with the Department of Education for the Diocese since 2015. Her primary responsibilities are related to the financial operations of the Department. In her role, Dawn works with the Ray Tyo St. Ferdinand Scholarship Program; coordinates efforts between the Catholic schools, the Diocesan Development office and the FACTS system to administer scholarship monies for each school; she coordinates the collecting and reporting of school census data; and she works with the Pennsylvania Department of Education to distribute money to schools to purchase textbooks.
Ms. Jane Waldeck
Jane Waldeck has worked at the Diocesan Center for 11 years for the Department of Catholic Schools. In addition to general support of the entire Department, Jane provides assistance to Associate Superintendent Margaret Barrett.
