Using athletics to involve young people in the life of the Church

The CYO program brings together sports and faith, annually providing athletic and spiritual enrichment to more than 4,200 youth from 30 parishes and schools, which play on 305 teams and are led by 550 coaches. Through the CYO program, we are offered a tremendous opportunity and responsibility to touch the lives of our young people and involve them in the greater community of the Church.

Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Leaders

The more than 500 coaches in the CYO program work with our players to instill an understanding of teamwork, hard work and respect, both on and off the court. Through their efforts, we are building strong future leaders for our communities and our Church.

Strong Support

An important program of the Diocese, we host League Commissioner Meetings, Annual Parish Contact Meetings, a New Coaches’ Orientation Program and several tournaments. Contact us today to learn more about the CYO program.

Additionally, all coaches are required to attend a yearly Diocesan seminar regarding Faith and Sports.
