Get Connected – Young Adult Social

The biggest Catholic young adult event of the year is back and you’re invited!

Spread the word that Get Connected is back for 2023 and all young adults in the Diocese of Harrisburg (yes, the whole Diocese!) aged 20 to 39 are invited to join us for an afternoon of fun, food, and fellowship. This is a great way to meet new friends and to learn about young adult groups and events in your area—wherever that area may be!

We’ll start with Sunday Mass together at 11:30am and then move across the parking lot to the pavilion for a potluck lunch and games. During lunch, we are also inviting leaders from regional Catholic young adult groups to introduce themselves and talk briefly about their groups and upcoming events so that you can get connected to other young adults in your area.

Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church
2800 Paxton Church Rd
Harrisburg, PA 17110
Mass will take place in the church. The lunch, speeches, and games will take place at the pavilion located next to the church. There is plenty of off-street parking available on-site.

DATE AND TIME

Sunday September 10th beginning with Mass at 11:30 AM

AUDIENCE

All young adults in the Diocese of Harrisburg aged 20 to 39
No one over 40 years old will be admitted (except clergy and religious)

REGISTRATION

There is no registration and no fee but please mark yourself as ‘Going’ if you’re planning to come so we can plan accordingly.

POTLUCK LUNCH

Staff will be on hand beginning at 10:30am to accept food. The pavilion at Saint Margaret Mary includes a refrigerator, freezer, and electrical outlets. You can also bring your food over after Mass.

11:30 AM Sunday Mass at Saint Margaret Mary Church
12:30 PM Sign-in and mingle time
1:00 PM Opening prayer
1:05 PM Potluck lunch and brief introductions from regional young adult leaders
1:30 PM Yard games, board games, socializing
5:00 PM Event ends
