LARC Day of Dialogue – CANCELLED

What is the role of the Christian community in dismantling racism? Why should it be important to all people of God? Why is dismantling racism a concern for the Church?

The Rev. Dr. Teresa L. Smallwood; James Franklin Kelly and Hope Eyster Kelly Associate Professor of Public Theology; her areas of specialty are Womanist and Feminist Theology and Ethics; Black Church Tradition; Race, Gender and Sexuality; Emmanuel Levinas; Africana Pastoral Theology; and 20th century Theology.

The Rev. Dr. Rodney Smalls, Pastor, Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Harrisburg. Dr. Smalls is a graduate of The Ecumenical Institute of Theology at St. Mary’s Seminary and University with Master of Arts degrees in both Theology and Church Ministries (Urban Ministry), and a Doctor of Ministry in Black Church Studies from Ashland Theological Seminary. Dr. Smalls’ undergraduate degree is in Biology from the University of South Carolina.

COST OF THE DAY (includes lunch):
$30.00 — single registration
$50.00 — two registrations from the same parish
$20.00 each — three or more registrations from the same parish
$15/per person for live-stream (lunch not provided)

Doors open at 9:00 AM for refreshments and fellowship. The conference begins at 10:00 AM and ends at 2:00 PM.

Lunch will be provided.

Livestreaming will be available with advance registration.
