The day will include topics such as: Spiritual Health-Physical Wellness, Sanctuary-in-Place: the effects of isolation, Introduction to Mental First Aid Kit, and End of Life Issues. Sanctuary in Place – Isolation is an opportunity to re-ground yourself amidst frustration, fears and fatigue. Spend an hour identifying how we are called to respond and hear God speak to us softly in our humanity. Presenter: Dr. Bonita Adlestein Kozemchak
Introduction to Mental Health First Aid– Mental Health First Aid is the initial help offered to a person developing a mental health or substance use problem, or experiencing a mental health crisis. The first aid is given until appropriate treatment and support are received or until the crisis resolves. Presenters: Jayne Miller and John Noullet from Wellspan Philhaven.
End of Life Issues– This talk will seek to cover a Catholic approach to the end of life, one which respects the dignity of each individual as a union of body and soul, created in the image and likeness of God. Both practical and spiritual considerations will be addressed. Presenter: Rev. Stephen Logue, STL, Bioethicist for the Diocese of Harrisburg.
