“Close to His Sacred Heart”
Keynote Speaker: Lindy Wynne
Founder of Mamas in Spirit Catholic Ministry for Women and Host of Mamas in Spirit Podcast
Keynote: Immaculate: Open Your Heart!
Lindy Wynne has interviewed hundreds of guests in her podcast, Mamas in Spirit. While these guests shared how God has transformed their lives, Lindy was able to see the critical choice they all made that allowed God to change everything. With a special emphasis on the feminine heart (the symbolic center of the interior life) and messages and stories gathered from hundreds of hours of interviews, Lindy will explore the Blessed Example of Mary and how she surrendered her heart for Love Itself. Lay your heart down, listen to the whisper of God speaking personally to you and live a life more filled with freedom, love and joy than you ever imagined! Join the pilgrimage of the heart so that you can uncover the choice that can change everything for YOU, too.
Lindy Wynne has always had a contemplative heart—she discovered God as a nine-year-old girl and was baptized into the Catholic Church at 21. She holds a Master’s degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling and has worked in professional ministry for over 15 years. Lindy is the founder of Mamas in Spirit (a Catholic Ministry for Women) and host of Mamas in Spirit Podcast, “a mini-retreat in a podcast.” Each week Lindy interviews guests about how God has transformed their lives through trial. The heart of Lindy’s life is her marriage to her husband of 23 years, Brian, and caring for their three children by adoption (ages 8, 21 and 24), two living with disabilities. Lindy believes God’s love knows no bounds and we are knit together as a human family by God.
Breakout Sessions:
Sister Geralyn Schmidt, SCC
Being a Woman of Compassion who Rests in the Heart of Jesus
Beginning with a reflection on the truth that Jesus infinitely loves us and invites us to respond to His love through a life of living with compassion, the session will take a deep dive into what compassion is and illuminate the ten traits of compassionate women.
Melissa Maleski, Director for Laity and Family
Called Forth as a Sentinel of the Invisible
What does it mean to be a woman? The answer is not as easy as it may seem, or as difficult as the world would have you believe! Guided by the mind of St. John Paul II and the lives of biblical women, the Church’s eternal Good News about womanhood will be explored in a deeper and refreshingly new way.
