The Black Catholic Apostolate was established in 1986 whose mission is to address the social, economic and spiritual concerns of all persons of African ancestry; to promote leadership; foster evangelization; and address issues of racial injustice through emphasis on family and education programs and the National Black Catholic Pastoral Plan.
