The Black Catholic Apostolate was established in 1986 whose mission is to address the social, economic and spiritual concerns of all persons of African ancestry; to promote leadership; foster evangelization; and address issues of racial injustice through emphasis on family and education programs and the National Black Catholic Pastoral Plan. Multicultural Summer Picnic – August 22, 2022 – Join us for a wonderful afternoon of food, music, faith, and fun during the annual Black Catholic Apostolate Summer Picnic at City Island in Harrisburg on Sunday, August 21st, from 2-6 p.m. The picnic is at the Riverfront Pavilion, near the Pride of the Susquehanna Riverboat. Everyone is welcome!
