My Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Today we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas. On this occasion, I want to speak to you personally. Today, I’m thinking especially of you and of the faith you carry so deeply in your heart. You are a cherished part of our local Church, and I am so grateful for the gifts you bring to our Diocesan family.
When Our Blessed Mother appeared to Saint Juan Diego, she came with tenderness and reassurance. She spoke to him as a mother speaks to her child—offering comfort, hope, and the promise that God is always with us – especially when we are anxious and feeling vulnerable. I pray that you hear that same message today.
Whatever uncertainties or challenges you may be facing, please know that you are not alone. Mary holds you close, just as she held Juan Diego, and she reminds you that her Son, Jesus, is Emmanuel – God with us always.
I want you to know of my support for you, and of my solidarity with you. Your faith, your strength, and your love for your family and community inspire me. You matter to our Church. Your presence enriches us. And I am grateful for you.
On this feast day, I invite you to turn to Our Lady of Guadalupe with trust and confidence. Ask her to guide you, to protect your loved ones, and to fill your heart with peace. Through her intercession, may you feel the loving embrace of Christ and the strength you need for the days ahead.
May God bless you and may Our Lady of Guadalupe keep you always under the shelter of her mantle.

Mis hermanos y hermanas en Cristo.
Hoy celebramos la festividad de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, Patrona de las Américas. En esta ocasión, quiero dirigirme a ustedes personalmente. Hoy pienso especialmente en ustedes y en la fe que llevan tan profundamente en su corazón. Son una parte muy querida de nuestra Iglesia local, y estoy muy agradecido por los dones que aportan a nuestra familia diocesana.
Cuando Nuestra Santísima Madre se apareció a San Juan Diego, lo hizo con ternura y certeza. Le habló como una madre a su hijo, ofreciéndole consuelo, esperanza y la promesa de que Dios siempre está con nosotros, especialmente cuando estamos ansiosos y nos sentimos vulnerables.
Ruego que escuches ese mismo mensaje hoy. Sean cuales sean las dudas o los desafíos que puedas estar enfrentando, recuerda que no estás solo. María te abraza, como abrazó a Juan Diego, y te recuerda que su Hijo, Jesús, es Emmanuel: Dios siempre con nosotros.
Quiero que sepas que te apoyo y me uno contigo. Tu fe, tu fortaleza y tu amor por tu familia y comunidad me inspiran. Eres importante para nuestra Iglesia. Tu presencia nos enriquece. Y estoy agradecido de ustedes.
En este día tan especial, los invito a guardar a Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe con confianza. Pídanle que los guíe, que proteja a sus seres queridos y que llene su corazón de paz. Por su intercesión, que sientan el abrazo amoroso de Cristo y la fuerza que necesitan para los días adelante.
Que Dios te bendiga y Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe te guarde siempre bajo el amparo de su manto.
