HARRISBURG, Pa. – On Saturday, June 7, the Most Reverend Timothy C. Senior, Bishop of Harrisburg, ordained three to the sacred priesthood at Saint Patrick Cathedral in Harrisburg. These new priests have spent, on average, more than six years preparing for this ministry in service to the people of God in the Diocese of Harrisburg. Our new priests are:
Reverend Cole T. Mase is the son of Thomas and Pamela Mase and attended Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia for his formation. Prior to entering the seminary, Father Mase was a shift manager at Sheetz and worked as a legislative monitor in Harrisburg. As of June 16, 2025, he will be assigned as parochial vicar to Saint Joseph Parish, Hanover. Reverend Andrew R. St. Denis is the son of Richard and Bonnie St. Denis and attended Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia for his formation. Prior to entering the seminary, Father St. Denis attended Lancaster Catholic High School and Bloomsburg University, graduating with a degree in business administration and finance. As of June 16, 2025, he will be assigned as parochial vicar to Saint Joseph Parish, York and as chaplain of York Catholic Middle and High School. Reverend Clark A. Stiteler is the son of Robert and Joann Stiteler and attended Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Md., for his formation. Prior to entering the seminary, Father Stiteler worked as an attorney for nearly seven years. As of June 16, 2025, he will be assigned as parochial vicar to Saint John Neumann Parish, Lancaster. In addition, Bishop Senior also announced the following changes to clergy assignments:
- Reverend Roland McCann, FSSP, from assignment outside the Diocese of Harrisburg, to Parochial Vicar, Saint Lawrence of Rome Deacon and Martyr Quasi Parish, Harrisburg, effective July 1, 2025.
- Reverend Zachary Barry, FSSP, from Parochial Vicar, Saint Lawrence of Rome Deacon and Martyr Quasi Parish, Harrisburg, to appointment outside the Diocese of Harrisburg, effective July 15, 2025.
- The previously announced assignment of Reverend Steven J. Arena to Parochial Vicar, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Enola and Chaplain, Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center, Enola and UPMC Hospital West Shore, Mechanicsburg, has been rescinded. Father Arena remains without assignment for the present. Another priest will be assigned to these ministries.
