Guidance, direction, leadership and vitality

The purpose of the Diocesan Catholic Committee is to give guidance, direction, leadership and vitality in the spiritual phase of scouting to all Catholic scouts and scouters in the Diocese.

In addition, the Committee will promote the various Religious Emblem programs throughout the Diocese of Catholic sponsored units and other units whenever and wherever feasible.

The 43rd Annual DCCS Retreat, planned for Saturday, September 18, has been postponed.

DCCS Devotional Program for Youth

Catholic Scouts attending a week of summer camp have an excellent opportunity to reflect on the ways in which Scouting ought to reinforce their faith.  The DCCS has developed a devotional program to facilitate these reflections.  Using this program as a guide, Scouts can meet with a group of friends and a mature Catholic mentor to pray daily and renew their commitment to live in accordance with God’s will.
